Senior Moments is a unique look at the stories that celebrate the 'golden years' of the LGBTQ+ community. Every grey hair is earned with pride.

There will be more laughing than crying in this year's women's shorts program. This year, we’re happy to bring you a much lighter program with a sprinkle of lesbian drama throughout. Expect a cat or two and “very lesbian” acoustic music.

Year after year, these young talents continue to amaze us. We're excited to bring you some funny, heart-warming, but also heartbreaking shorts from around the world. So, sit back, relax and enjoy the first of many films by these up-and-coming directors.

Passion, grief, and resistance, resistance, resistance. From the fantastic to everyday struggles, these Latinx short films will make you fall in love while also breaking your heart.

This year, Wicked Queer spotlights three distinct filmmakers navigating the pressures of Disability and Queerness. Join us for two perspectives on being a queer man with cerebral palsy and a short romp with an autistic transgender youth exploring friendship and love.

Featuring international films by a selection of new talents, this year's lineup includes lyrical works from Spain, a surreal Norwegian comedy, and a bittersweet story from Belgium.

I have felt a plethora of emotions processing this; no doubt, mirroring the sentiments of the rest of the BIPOC community. The most powerful of those emotions has been an existential and spiritual connection to my ancestors. We have experienced so many atrocities up until this very day.Yet, we continue to alchemize all of that pain into a fierce ball of eternal fire. An inferno that we metamorphose into love, laughter and life in countless mediums. Then, we pass the strength of that magical fire along to our community, our descendants and finally, the world. While I celebrate us all year long, once a year, I am honored to use the medium of cinema to shine a light on our stories. I give visibility and a platform to the artists celebrating our lives, our sorrows, our magic‚ in front of the lens and behind it. This year, through Afro-futurism, contemporary dance, animation, documentary, and many more, I present to you: Wicked Queer 2021's BIPOC short film program. Thank you to all of my BIPOCs, past, present and future.

Seven visions of trans life, each unexpected, each an adventure into the realm of our unique experiences. We don't do definitions, we simply (or complicatedly) are, and these films explore our existences in remarkable ways. Each film offers up indelible images and tableaus, some bring us right to the edge, some take us over it. In the end, it's our humanity that shines out, that carries us through, that indelibly reminds you who we are.

We are home with or without our families, no matter what the description; in our lands, whether we are welcome, banished, seeking, finding, giving, or needing, whether we are revered or forgotten: in our own bodies, and in each other's hearts.
